Yesterday I hung Maia’s paintings and drawings that I had framed a couple weeks ago. Most went into the reading nook in her bedroom. It’s an area I created by stringing wire between two eye screws on either wall and using curtain hooks to hang white fabric “curtains”. Next to the bookcase, I created a padded reading spot out of a small futon with lots of pillows and Maia’s stuffed friends.
Bedroom is a misnomer, since she still sleeps with us, but at some point we’ll put a bed in here, probably even in the reading nook.

What a cozy, inviting space. I wish I had my own little reading nook just like that. The art makes it just perfect. Such an inspiring place to dream up her next adventure. Lucky girl!

i like the variety of frames too–after seeing this i am encouraged not to stress too much over the frames themselves and just get some pieces framed and hung up! thanks for all your inspiration! i am new to your blog (found it through good+happy day) and really love it!
